For so many years there have been haters, many of them in our own community, who have portrayed the NAACP as a tired organization of yesteryear. While I do agree that an injection of younger activist is needed in the Association, I also believe that young people (especially young professionals) need to quit waiting for an invitation from established organizations to participate in leadership.
